I’m a Survivor!

I beat it…that dreaded “c” word!!! I beat cancer!!! I won’t bore you with all the details of the side effects and complications but I will tell you I went through a total of 7 weeks which included external and internal radiation and chemotherapy. I’ve been to hell and back but I’m on the slow road to recovery. I actually finished my treatments back in June but it’s taken me this long to feel like sitting down at my computer to post anything.

I had my six week follow-up and my doctor was more than pleased with what he saw and I will go back every 3 months for more follow-ups to make sure I stay healthy and cancer free!

I do have a few photos to share that I took during a visit to my parents. They live approximately 660 miles from me and were unable to come while I was going though treatment, so soon as I felt up to a trip, I went out to see them. The following images are from their lovely backyard. I hope you enjoy.
