Saying Good-bye to Minter Gardens

While I was visiting back in B.C., my parents, daughter-in-law and I, decided to make a trip out to Chilliwack for what would be our last time to see Minter Gardens.  It had been announced just days before I left Alberta, that this was to be the last season for the gardens after 33 years of operation. It’s always been a great place to visit, so I was glad I got the chance to go while I was there.

We picked the perfect day, weather and temperatures could not have been better and it was so nice to have such great company to share it with. The gardens had never looked better and I hope you enjoy the few photos I have chosen as my favourites.

  2. The place looks so well kept. It's a shame it's closing down. Neat idea with the peacock.

  3. Our only visit there was in 2001, and I still have wonderful memories. Your photos just revived them in a great way. So sad they are closing... is that due to funding?
