My 50th in Puerto Vallarta

On October 24, 2009 I turned 50. I decided if it was going to hurt, I wanted it to hurt somewhere warm and tropical so I packed up and dragged my husband to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was my second visit and his first and it won't be our last as Bob fell in love with it as much as I did.

We stayed at the NH Krystal Hotel which caters to everyone's needs. There are owners, time-share, all-inclusive, rooms with kitchenettes and also day passes available for the many cruise ship passengers who don't wish to visit el centro (downtown) or take any of the many tours offered. We went the all-inclusive route and of course ate and drank far too much but isn't that what vacations are all about...besides, it was my birthday!!

A little pet!?

We spent a lot of our time when we were not out and about sight-seeing, either pool-side or on the beach enjoying the many activities around us.

The scenery from the beach and the pools were  incredible so here are a few of my favorites.

Look at all those coconuts!

The very first afternoon there we had a storm come in....thunder, lightning and wind. It was quite cool!!

We ended every day with a stroll along the beach to take in the gorgeous sunsets

***Stayed tuned...El Centro and the Malecon to come......
